This last week of school before winter break is pretty much a joke. The kids are antsy. The teachers are crabby. The learning is minimal. We tried to make the best of it by doing a a fun crafty project for the first time.
We made Gingerbread Houses and got to help 1st graders do the same thing! It was a 2 day project and it was a lot of fun ... but so wild & crazy that I'm not sure if we'll do it again. The good news is that my room smelled like icing all week. The bad news is that the kids desks might be permanently covered in icing and candy crumbs.
Here are a few of the best houses. I loved how creative some of them were with the construction and their decorating!
Pretty cool, huh?

Great! You have some budding architects in your class.
I'm guessing that each structure was 100% recyclable - especially with a glass of milk!
Cheers!
