Today, we completed the last of the assessments our kids had to do in fourth grade.
This is the final total of all the test we had to take. When I say "we", I actually mean my 22 nervous, "done" with testing 9- and 10-year olds!
- 3 days of Kansas Reading Assessments (each section took about 1 hour).
- 3 days of Kansas Math Assessments (each section took more than 1 hour).
- 1 day of Kansas Science Assessment (I am forgetting now, but I think we took 2 sessions for this test).
- 1 week of completing a Writing Assessment (start to finish: brainstorming to typed final copy).
- 2 days of the MAP Assessments (kids testing in both Reading and Math ... this test is for the district and parents).

Congratulations, Betsy and class! This is a real accomplishment, tho it's going to come sooner or later, and be over later than you want it to be. this is why 4th grade is the hardest for kids, parents and teachers.
